Dangerous fire conditions continue

A Red Flag Warning is in effect once again for an increased fire danger along the Front Range. In the News 5 viewing area, included are El Paso, Pueblo, Fremont, Teller, Huerfano, Custer, and western Las Animas Counties. Outdoor burning should be postponed, and remember to throw cigarettes or flick ashes out of your vehicles.

Today will be hot, windy, and dry. Highs will be in the upper 80's and lower 90's along the Palmer Divide around Colorado Springs, while areas along and south of the Arkansas River Valley will warm into the middle and upper 90's and even some lower 100's.

The next week is likely to stay the same with hot and windy afternoons and a lack of rainfall for most of Southeastern Colorado.
