DeLaurell's hat trick secures Air Force 4-1 win over Army

US AIR FORCE ACADEMY - Air Force senior forward Kyle DeLaurell scored three of the Falcons four goals in their victory at home over Army. Leading 1-0 in the 2nd period thanks to an earlier Ben Persian goal in the 1st, DeLaurell tipped in a pass from Stephen Carew on a Falcons power-play.

Four minutes later, DeLaurell repeated thanks to a pass from Mike Walsh. The hat-trick shot came 15:31 into the 3rd giving the Falcons a 4-0 lead.

Army forward Zack Zaremba spoiled the shut out for goalie Jason Torf who blocked 26 of the Black Knights 27 shots. Game two of the series begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
