A fiber optic project will cause traffic problems for a couple of months along Highway 85 on the south side of Colorado Springs.
Conduit and junction boxes will be placed in the median and on the shoulder of Highway 85 between I-25 in Fountain and Las Vegas Street in south Colorado Springs.
Drivers can expect single lane and left turn lane closures at various locations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Only minor delays are expected.
The $700,000 project, contracted to American Directional Boring of St. Louis, will start next week and run into June.
