Its no secret, aspirin can help save a person's life if taken during a heart attack. Now a Denver company has a new aspirin product that reportedly works faster than pills, and is easier to take during a heart attack.
The new product, made by Urgent-RX, is a powder instead of a pill. It's designed to work fast; all you have to do is tear it open and pour it into your mouth. The company says you don't need water to make it go down and because it's a powder it enters the blood stream a lot faster.
It's a good thing Vail Ski Patrol had just started carrying this new powdered aspirin. Back in February skier David Bentley started feeling an intense pain around his heart. Ski patrol quickly gave the new aspirin to him, "I opened my mouth and it was like a packet of sugar put it right in my mouth and it absorbed instantly," Bentley explains.
The Denver based company, Urgent-RX says for ski patrol teams; these easy to open packets are perfect for quick response in difficult locations.
Each packet costs around $1.40, to learn more about it and where to buy it, click here.
