Stefanie Dickinson, a former school board member in Ellicott was arrested last month and charged with internet luring of a child. Investigators say she was caught sexting a teenaged boy.
Days later, Dickinson resigned her position as treasurer for the school board.
As with many investigations, new information was uncovered and now come new charges for Dickinson. "The investigation continued and as a result of that investigation, there was an additional victim that was located." explains Sgt. Mike Schaller with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office
This afternoon Dickinson was taken in to custody yet again. "The arrest and search warrants were obtained this morning. A little after 1:30, detectives went to the residence to make contact with her, took her in to custody and began searching the residence." says Schaller.
The charges this time are even more serious than the last. "She was charged with one count of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust." says Schaller.
Again, this is an entirely different case than the sexting allegations. Court documents show the alleged sexual assault happened in 2008, and involved a child under the age of 15. Dickinson has bonded out of jail on a $25,000 bond.
