Teachers in Colorado Springs School District 11 are voting to ratify their new master agreement with the district. The vote among the Colorado Springs Education Association members is being conducted online and will be finished at noon Wednesday. The D11 school board will vote on the agreement at their meeting Wednesday night.

Neither side will comment publicly about what's in the agreement until it is passed. However, a copy of the agreement obtained by News First 5 suggests that all step increases will freeze and that teachers will be required to take two furlough days during the week of Thanksgiving.

The teachers would also receive a 0.5% salary increase across the board and a 0.65% bonus in December.

The district would cover all increases to the teachers retirement accounts. No changes would be made to stipends and insurance benefits.
