School District 11 in Colorado Springs is experiencing a bus driver shortage. They're searching for 30 more drivers by the beginning of next school year.
District 11's Operations Manager, Cheryl Weaver, says the job is part time. They guarantee four hours per day and offer full benefits. She hopes they can hire enough drivers so they don't have to change bus routes next year.
"That would be one of our last options, to add more children on a route," she says. "We prefer to only have 50 to 55 students on the bus."
To qualify, you must be at least 21-years-old, have a clean driving record and background check. The district plans to conduct interviews in May and June and start training in July.
