Districts 60 and 70 join in the We Are Education celebration

It's a celebration that's the first of its kind at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo.
Faculty, staff, and students from Districts 60 and 70 gathered today for the We Are Education celebration.
From music and food to painting pumpkins, kids and adults had fun while remembering the important reason they came together: to spread good news.
"People seem to only hear about the negative stories, the difficulties and challenges with testing, funding," said Roxanne Pignanelli, a teacher in District 70. "But 99.9% of the other stories are success stories."
They also had red balloons to remember the life of Jessica Ridgeway, whose death, they say, has affected educators across the country.
