A new study reveals the majority of Americans largely underestimate the calorie content of fast food.
Harvard researchers examined consumers' choices at fast food restaurants where calorie content was not listed on the menu.
The participants were then asked to estimate how many calories were included in their meal.
Two-thirds underestimated calorie content, and one in four were off by at least 500 calories!
Experts say new laws requiring menu labeling could help correct this problem and help consumers make informed decisions.
