The father of Colorado's Taxpayer's Bill of Rights is headed to a Denver court to answer questions about new tax-cutting proposals.
Douglas Bruce of Colorado Springs was scheduled to appear Monday for a deposition in a lawsuit over three tax-cutting ballot measures headed to Colorado voters this fall.
Opponents want the proposals thrown out because the backers didn't properly identify Bruce's involvement. They fear the proposals could force painful spending cuts.
Bruce says the ballot measures have nothing to do with him and that he didn't illegally try to avoid subpoenas to testify in the complaint.
