The Downtown Branch of the El Paso County Clerk & Recorder's Office be closed from Monday December 5 through Friday December 9, 2011 because of construction. The county is encouraging customers to visit their main office in the new Citizens Service Center at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road.
The Motor Vehicle and Recording Departments are located on the first floor and the Election Department is located on the second floor.
Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams said in a statement released Monday he hopes to limit the inconvenience to our customers during the final phase of construction at Centennial Hall.
"We will be providing increased staff at all of our branch offices to accommodate the influx of additional customers," Williams said.
