Driver OK after hitting elk

Colorado State troopers say a driver is okay after hitting an elk Saturday night.
It happened at the intersection of Hodgen and Meridian Rd. in El Paso County. The windows of the SUV were busted, but the driver was able to get home.
As for the bull, Wildlife officers checked it out on scene. A man that helped with the clean-up got to take it home and use it for meat, according to troopers.
