Driver rescued after sliding 100 ft off road

A close call for a driver in Colorado Springs. The woman slid down a hill about 100 ft. and had to be rescued according to Lt. Jeff Sievers with the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

The accident happened earlier this afternoon on Gold Camp Rd. between tunnel one and tunnel two. Lt. Sievers says the woman got out of the car on her own and did not appear injured.

Rescuers had to carry the woman to safety. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

No word yet on what caused the accident.
