Dry & mild today...rain & snow early Friday!

TODAY: Plenty of sunshine....nice and mild again. Temps this afternoon will be 55 in both the Springs and Pueblo. Dry skies today across the state...but that will change in a big way by tonight into your Friday!

TONIGHT: A Pacific storm will be head in our direction overnight, so expect increasing clouds and temps of about 27 in the Springs and 24 in Pueblo. Rain and snow showers will start falling for parts of southwestern Colorado as that storm approaches!

FRIDAY: Big changes taking place across the state with snow and rain in possible here in the morning and plenty of snow across the Colorado Mountains. Chances for rain/snow showers tomorrow morning here will be about 40% in Colorado Springs and El Paso County. Chances for showers will be about 30% for Pueblo, Canon City, La Junta, Trinidad, Walsenburg and the rest of the southeastern plains. We are expecting snow showers across the Rampart Range and Teller County. As much as 1-2" of snow possible in Cripple Creek with lighter accumulations expected in Woodland Park and the rest of Teller County. There are numerous advisories posted for the mountains starting Friday morning through Saturday morning. Snowfall totals will range from 4-8" over the higher elevations of the Sangre de Cristo's. 6-12" for the central mountains...including Crested Butte and Monarch Mountain. Big winner from this storm will be the southwest mountains of Colorado with as much as 10-20" of snow possible around Telluride, Wolf Creek & Silverton.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Weather will be dry and chilly for your weekend forecast. Lower 40's for the Springs and middle 40's for Pueblo. Skies Saturday will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny with more sunshine for Sunday. Snow showers are going to continue off-and-on for the mountains so be sure to check the road reports before venturing across any of the mountain passes. Late Saturday night we might even see another light snow shower or two over Teller County and the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

MONDAY-WEDNESDAY: Chilly weather all three days with temps for most of us in the 40's at the lower elevations and 30's across the mountains close to home. More snowy weather for the ski resorts and higher elevations on Monday compliments of another Pacific storm system.
