DENVER (AP) - Avalanche center Matt Duchene is listed as day-to-day with a hand injury.

Duchene left Monday's game against the Calgary Flames at the Pepsi Center after injuring his hand late in the second period and missed practice Tuesday. Team officials tell The Denver Post that he's questionable for Wednesday's home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Coach Joe Sacco says he'll know more about Duchene's status Wednesday morning. Rookie defenseman Cameron Gaunce was on the ice after getting hit in the foot by a puck in Monday night's 9-1 loss to Calgary.

The Avs will try to snap an eight-game losing streak, the franchise's longest since moving to Colorado in 1995.
