"Dumpster Bear" brings in big business for restaurant

It's not every day that you can thank a bear for a renovation on your home. However, Colorado Springs' Edelweiss restaurant is able to do just that.

After a video of a bear stealing a dumpster from the back of their restaurant went viral, business started to boom.

The money was able to help fund a $500,000 kitchen/bakery renovation in the back of the restaurant. Manager Dieter Schnakenberg says the location of the renovation is also symbolic.

"Where he stole the dumpster from is where we got to remodel and that's where we're adding on the kitchen," he says.

The kitchen, which hasn't been touched in 45 years, and bakery will both double in size.

Edelweiss say they'll be better able to serve customers because of it. They expect the renovation to be done after Mother's Day.
