Colorado Springs firefighters responded to an early morning house fire on Wednesday. It started just after 5 a.m. on Cheyenne Boulevard.
Officials say the home was vacant and under construction for remodeling. They also say the fire started in the back of the house and moved through the roof.
Heavy smoke was seen in the area. Crews also closed down Cheyenne Blvd. from Summer to May and up to Ridgeway.
