Weekend shooting in El Paso County

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies are looking into shots fired, east of Colorado Springs, where two people were shot.

Both victims, in their twenties, were taken to a local hospital in private vehicles.  Lt. Lari Sevene with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said at the scene that one of the victim's injuries looked to be critical.

The shots fired call came just after 3 a.m early Sunday morning.  Deputies found the remains of what they say was a house part in a townhome off of Shannara Grove, near the intersection of Marksheffel Road and Constitution Ave.

Witnesses say several shots were fired.  After the gunshots, deputies say there was some activity with people leaving.  Investigators are still looking for anyone who fired a weapon.
