East High School in Pueblo was on heightened security status briefly Monday morning based on a possible threat that came through a national program called Safe to Tell.

Based on that information East High was on "lock in" status for a couple of hours. That means students can only enter or leave the building through the front door under the authority of a security guard. Also, classroom doors are locked, though students may go from one class to another as usual when their class is over.

Principal Alan Nelms told News First the threat turned out to be not credible and the security status at the school was back to normal by mid-morning.
