BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Another trial for a former Broomfield High School wrestling coach convicted last week of sexually assaulting a former student has been postponed from next week.
The Daily Camera reports a judge rescheduled Travis Masse's trial for Oct. 17. The judge said Thursday the case might qualify for a change of venue because it will be difficult to choose jurors who haven't heard of his conviction.
A Broomfield jury convicted Masse last week of sex assault on a child by someone in a position of trust and committing a pattern of abuse. One of his former students had reported she had sex with Masse when she was 17.
The next trial is on a charge of unlawful sexual contact with a child, which was filed after a second accuser came forward.
