The 2010 Colorado State Fair ends today Sept. 6--and the latest figures show more people went to this year's fair.
Overall attendance is up 26,561 visitors, with a total of 470,907 fair goers during the first ten days of the fair. Based on data from the past five years, Labor Day usually attracts an average of 47,600 fair goers. If that trend stays true this year, the fair's overall attendance is set to pass the 500,000 mark.
The state fair says so far Blake Shelton who performed on Aug. 28, was the most popular musical act of the this year's fair. The rodeo which lead into Shelton's concert was a complete sell out--with a crowd of 6,307 people.
The 2010 fair wraps up with a concert featuring Gym Class Heroes and special guest Sean Kingston. The concert starts at 8 p.m. at the Events Center. The cost is $25.
