Monday is the first full day of fall and Mother Nature isn't letting us down. Temperatures are much cooler and should remain relatively cool for much of the next week.
There are a few exceptions to the "cooler" mentioned. We will see a gradual warm-up starting as easy as Tuesday. Highs will top out in the 70°s across southern Colorado under mostly sunny skies.
Starting Wednesday we will start to see the winds increasing out of the southwest. The breezy/windy conditions will last through Saturday. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will climb in to the upper 70°s and middle 80°s before a cold front passes through the area Thursday night/Friday morning. Behind the front, daytime highs will drop around 6° Friday and even cooler Saturday where temperatures could drop 20° from Thursday's highs.
Chances for rain look pretty slim this week. Skies will remain mostly sunny throughout much of the next six to seven days. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
