Father sentenced in abuse of infant son

A Colorado Springs man will spend 25 years behind bars, for leaving his son brain-damaged. 25-year-old Michael Anthony Douglas received the sentence Monday, after he was convicted of abuse in January.
Authorities say Douglas hit his son back in 2007, when he was less than a month old. The boy sustained such serious injuries, he is expected to have profound speech, hearing and learning disabilities for the rest of his life.
Douglas asked the judge to give him a lighter sentence, so he could see his other two sons grow up.
