The FBI says agents are searching several locations in the Northeast in connection with the failed Times Square car bomb.

An FBI spokeswoman said Thursday that there is "no known immediate threat to the public or any active plot against the United States." FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz would not confirm addresses, but police have cordoned off a small house in Watertown, about 10 miles west of Boston.

A law enforcement said that search warrants are also being executed at homes on Long Island in New York. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

Marcinkiewicz says two people have been taken into custody on alleged immigration violations in connection with the Boston-area raids.
