Final preparations are under way for Sunday's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  The annual fundraiser for breast cancer research begins at 8:00 a.m. Sunday at Garden of the Gods.  Race organizers say they expect attendance to break records due to Sunday's forecast for clear, mild weather.

Registration for the race costs $30, or $35 if you pay on race day.  75 percent of the proceeds remain in Southern Colorado while the remainder goes to help fund research at the national level.  Nearly 7,000 participants are expected to attend.

Shuttles will begin running at 5:30 Sunday morning to transport participants from parking lots at Verizon, Agilent Technologies, and Coronado High School.  CLICK HERE for more race information.
