After six days in a row of rain reported at both the Colorado Springs and Pueblo airports, we finally have an opportunity to dry out.
The monsoonal moisture is getting a push out of our area, and some dry air is flowing toward us from the north. That dry air will lower the odds that you will see rain, though just enough moisture is present that we don't want to completely rule out a stray mountain shower that may move out to the I-25 corridor late this afternoon. A few showers could also form near the Kansas border.
Temperatures will be noticeably warmer today. Expect mid-80's around Colorado Springs with upper 70's and lower 80's from Teller County to Monument Hill. Highs today will be in the lower 90's along and south of the Arkansas River Valley.
