FINALLY! Drier and warmer

Clouds and fog early Tuesday will decrease, and the sun will break out across Southeastern Colorado this afternoon. More sun will mean warmer temperatures, too. Highs will be near 80 in Colorado Springs, with mid-to-upper 80's along and south of the Arkansas River, including Pueblo, and 70's on Monument Hill and in most of Teller County.

Tomorrow will be warm, too, but a cold front will move through the area tomorrow night and drop the temperatures for Thursday and Friday.

Even with no rain in the forecast, the Arkansas River will still rise, especially in areas near La Junta. A Flood Warning is in effect for the Arkansas River at La Junta. The river is expected to crest at 12.9 feet this afternoon and then fall below flood stage tonight after midnight.
