Finally more like fall...especially by Saturday night!

TODAY: More clouds, much cooler and maybe even a shower or two in a few spots. We'll keep the chance of a few light showers going into the early part of the forecast for the areas mentioned above. As the day progresses cooler air will arrive with skies that stay partly to mostly cloudy. Max temps only make it to 49 in Colorado Springs and 53 in Pueblo.

TONIGHT: Becoming partly cloudy and colder. Low temps fall into the 20's for most of us...lower 30's in Canon City. We could see a few areas of patchy fog overnight tonight and into the start of the Friday forecast.

FRIDAY: Cool and fairly quiet weather expected for the first Friday of the new month. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with max temps of 50 in the Springs and 54 in Pueblo.

SATURDAY: Most of the forecast for the day will be cool and quiet. Things start to change late in the day as MUCH colder air surges into eastern Colorado and by evening when a Pacific storm moves into our area. As that storm moves from Arizona into New Mexico moisture will increase and that means snow will start flying during the afternoon over the mountains and higher elevations and then by evening we'll see snow likely at the lower elevations. High temps for the day before the really cold air moves-in will be 48 in the Springs and 52 in Pueblo. Snow showers will be mostly likely for all of us overnight and into early Sunday morning! Best chance for accumulations will be for the Wet, Sangre and Rampart Range Mountains. We also expect accumulations in spots like Rye and Monument Hill & other locations near the mountains. Still a bit early to know how much snow to expect in Colorado Springs, Canon City, Briargate, Monument, Ft. Carson and Pueblo etc. We'll keep you posted!

SUNDAY: Very early in the morning we'll still have some snows showers across the area...most likely over the mountains and foothills. Travel on area roads will be difficult early in the day, which could make getting to Sunday services a little tricky. Snow showers will decrease as we head from late morning into the afternoon. It will be cold... with high temps only reaching 25 and 29 in Pueblo. Brrrr!

MONDAY-TUESDAY: Dry skies return to eastern Colorado, but it will be staying quiet chilly. Morning low temps each day will be in the very cold...highs only make it into the 30's in the Springs and upper 30's and lower 40's in Pueblo! Skies each day will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with mostly light winds at the lower elevations.

WEDNESDAY: Will be a nice, cool-ish day with slightly milder temps. Skies will be mostly sunny skies and highs around 46 in Colorado Springs and 51 in Pueblo.
