Thunderstorms this afternoon have brought large hail and strong winds to parts of southern Colorado. Shortly after 4pm reports of golfball size hail came in from Fort Carson, Security and Widefield. 69mph winds were measured in Falcon around 4:30pm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues until 10pm Tuesday for all of the KOAA viewing area.
While we will have a chance for a few afternoon showers over the eastern Plains of Colorado most of southern Colorado will be dry tomorrow. Winds will begin to increase through the afternoon and temperatures start to climb.
*RED FLAG WARNING* is in effect for much of southern Colorado from 11am-8pm Wednesday. A Fire Weather Watch is also in effect Thursday for much of southern Colorado. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
