A fire is still burning inside the old Alpha Beta Meat Packing building in Pueblo.
It shut down roads over night, but they are now reopened.
It all started around 10:30 last night, and it could take until tomorrow to fully extinguish.
Fire crews have been on the defensive for the most part, fighting the fire primarily from the outside although we're told they are inching their way inside.
A spokesperson tells us the fire started on the first floor and spread up a stairwell to the third floor of the plant.
"The building is insulated very heavily with natural cork, and that's what's burning at this point," said Woody Percival, Pueblo Fire Public Information Officer. "It's extremely dense, burns extremely hot, and we're having some difficulty getting that put out at this point."
Right now they still do not have a cause.
The building is not considered a total loss at this time because the structure is mainly concrete.
