DENVER (AP) - Toronto-based Canada Goose Inc. is opening its first U.S. office in downtown Denver.
The manufacturer of extreme weather outerwear said Tuesday that the office will serve as its U.S. headquarters, with a showroom and dedicated sales team targeting premium retail customers. The Denver Post reports the office has four employees.
In a written statement, Canada Goose's director of U.S. sales, Ian Widmer, called Denver a gateway to the mountains and a major hub of the outdoor industry.
Last week, the Australian sports software company FuseSport said it would set up international headquarters in Colorado Springs. The Gazette reports FuseSport has 11 employees, but company officials say they hope to add 100 workers over the next four years, depending on how much capital they can raise.
