The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Fremont, El Paso, Pueblo, Huerfano and Las Animas counties. The watch is in effect from 1pm through midnight Saturday.
Thunderstorms with the potential for heavy downpours will develp during the afternoon and continue into the evening. Storms will be slow moving, and there is a possibility of rainfall amounts in excess of 1 to 3 inches from the heavier, slow moving storms.
Remember a Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangersous situation. When a Flash Flood Warning is issued for your area, you need to head to higher ground immediately.
