Flash Flood Watch for Saturday

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Saturday afternoon and evening from noon until 9 PM for El Paso and Teller Counties.

The watch includes Waldo Canyon, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Black Forest, Fort Carson, the Air Force Academy, Woodland Park, Ute Pass, Cripple Creek, Divide, and Florissant.

A Flash Flood Watch means conditions are favorable for flash flooding. If you are in areas prone to flash flooding, be weather aware and be prepared to move quickly to higher ground with little to no warning.

The threat for flash flooding is especially high today since flash flooding yesterday left a large amount of debris and ground unstable.

If a Flash Flood WARNING is issued for your area, flash flooding is imminent, and you should move to higher ground immediately.
