Some delays for hundreds of passengers tonight, as 14 flights were diverted to the Colorado Springs Airport, from Denver International Airport.
News 5 learned severe weather blamed on strong winds and microbursts, sent the flights to COS.
17 flights total were forced to land at other airports, 14 of those flights were sent to Colorado Springs, according to DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery.
Southwest, United and American were among the carriers diverted.
As of 9:30 Friday Evening, all but two flights had left the Colorado Springs Airport to return to Denver. The Operations Center at the COS airport tells News 5 the final two flights were expected to leave shortly. The first flight was diverted at 6:30 Friday Night.
