After an afternoon and evening of heavy rain and flash flooding in Teller and El Paso County, the weather is improving. All watches and warnings were cancelled for the area around 6 PM. This will mean drier weather overnight and for your Friday.
Friday afternoon looks nicer for some. Areas that had the rain on Thursday will see more sunshine Friday. Because of the sun, temperatures will also be a degree or two warmer.
The weekend looks nice. We'll stay mostly sunny through the morning hours, then see partly to mostly sunny skies through the afternoon. A pop-up PM storm can't be ruled out, but many areas will stay dry as temperatures stay seasonably warm.
Next week starts how the weekend ends, with more sun and little rain.
Hope you made it through the rain ok... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
