Focus, Indy join forces to help foster kids

They don't always see eye to eye on issues facing the community, but when it comes to foster care, Focus on the Family and the Colorado Springs Independent say they have the same goal: improve the quality of life for the children.
In a joint press conference Monday Focus president Jim Daly and Indy publisher John Weiss announced the community's first ever Fostering Children event. It will be held on Saturday, June 11 at the Cornerstone Arts Center from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The free event will honor and celebrate foster families and the agencies that serve them in the Pikes Peak Region.
