Former UCCS dean dies in biking accident

A former Dean of Students at UCCS has died in a mountain biking accident. Ron Wisner was with the college from 1979 to 2003.
He died Friday in an open trails area between Monument and Castle Rock. An autopsy to determine cause of death is pending.
According to an online article from the college, Wisner served as an instructor for the Semester at Sea Program. He had also recently rejoined the university on a part-time appointment to assist with student affairs.
