Fort Carson soldier re-arrested on Child Sexual Assault charges

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has placed 1st Lt. Aaron Lucas under arrest again. The Fort Carson soldier is wanted by Alabama police for an arrest warrant stemming from a 2002 case of Enticing a Child and Sexual Child Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years of Age.

Lucas has been booked into the Criminal Justice Center on no bond as a Fugitive from Justice. Lucas is scheduled for advisement from the court on January 3, 2013.

Lucas had been arrested on October 23, 2012 for connection to an El Paso County kidnapping case and separate Enticement of a Child case, each from 2012, as well as for his connection to similar cases from other area jurisdictions.

Lucas was back at work on the Mountain Post under strict supervision guidelines. If convicted on the local charges, he faces more than 100 years in prison.
