Four proposed gun control measure passed out of the Colorado House on Monday and now move on to the Senate. The first bill would limit high capacity magazines to 15 rounds. The next requires background check for all gun transactions including private sales. The third would require gun buyers to pay for their own background checks. The final one prohibits concealed carry on public college and university campuses.
Gun control is one of the most passionate topics of session. Debate for the third reading and final vote in the house went on for over four hours on Monday. The previous Friday debate lasted close to 12 hours.
The measures now move to the Senate for debate. Like the house, Democrats have a majority in the Senate.
