Today, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife are celebrating Colorado's statehood by allowing free admission to all state parks. On Friday, Colorado turned 138 and the Parks and Wildlife department celebrate on the first Monday of every August.
There are 42 state parks and most people live within 30 minutes of one of them.
While admission is free, visitor's will need to pay for other activities like fishing and camping. They also want to remind you to have proper licenses for those additional activities.
