With the warm temps in Pueblo today, you may have not worried about staying warm, but for many, a winter coat was a priority.

Pueblo Parks and Recreation along with the Eastside Commission began a coat drive at the beginning of the month.

Today, kids and adults got to choose from around 250 coats, all different sizes and styles, and all for free!

"People that are just getting back on their feet, that are struggling," said Bernadette O'Keefe, Recreation Supervisor. "They have secured housing. They have just gotten a job, but they don't have anything extra to buy that warm winter coat. It's really meant a lot to us."

This is the first year they've held the coat drive, but they say it will definitely happen again because of this year's success.
