You can no longer recycle in Pueblo for free. Today the Pueblo City-County Health Department removed public recycling bins located in Pueblo and Pueblo West.

The bins have been in place since 2003. They were funded by a grant from the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, but the money ran out in 2007.

County leaders had been finding ways to fund the free bins, but couldn't come up with money for next year. People in Pueblo will now have to pay to recycle most household items.
