As you get ready to ring in the New Year, don't forget about the free rides home being offered.
Miller-Coors is working with the State Department of Transportation; offering $10 cab vouchers to be given out at many bars and restaurants.
In Colorado Springs McDivitt Law Firm is paying for free cab rides home; call 777-7777 and tell the cab driver that the ride is "on the McDivitt Law Firm." Also Designated Driver of Colorado Springs is giving free rides home to military members; their number is 650-3450.
In the Pueblo area, two bars are offering free rides home; Jimmy's on McCulloch and The Pourhouse off of Purcell. They're just asking you to tip the drivers. Other bars may be doing similar deals, it might be a good idea to call ahead to check.
Also, in Canon City you can get a ride how through Free Ride. Their number is 275-RIDE (7433).
Just a warning of something that's not an option; people are posting a phone number on Facebook for AAA's so-called Tipsy Tow service for New Year's Eve, but officials say AAA is not offering the service in Colorado. The company says they've been inundated with calls from people trying to verify the information. They're asking people to stop sharing the number.
