Time is running out to file your taxes. The tax deadline is April 15. If you still need to file your taxes, you may qualify for free help. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) offers free income tax preparation for low to moderate income families. The service is available for people who earn $49,000 or less a year.

VITA services are held at various times and days, throughout the state--including in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Canon City, Fountain, Las Animas, Woodland Park and La Junta.

To find a site near you, click on Colorado VITA Sites.
