Free weddings for warriors

Wedding bells are soon to ring for twenty Colorado military couples.

Staff Sergeant Jason Reaume and his wife of five years are finally having the wedding of their dreams.  They were married in Korea during a monsoon and only have one picture of their wedding day.  They are thrilled to have the opportunity to have a real wedding.

"To have everything just one-hundred percent taken care of is just an amazing experience for us," says Staff Sergeant Reaume.

The weddings are being made possible by local business owners and volunteers through an initiative called "Weddings for Warriors."

Marty Gagg of the Garden of the Gods Trading Post spearheaded the program.  Twenty separate wedding ceremonies are being offered and one grand wedding reception will take place for all the couples and their guests at The Association of Graduates at the Air Force Academy. The weddings are scheduled to take place on November 10, 2010.

Ten more spots are still available to participate in the event.  The application deadline is September 16, 2010.
