FREEZE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING... This is for the entire News 5 viewing area. A FREEZE WARNING means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
It's another cool afternoon. Highs are a few degrees warmer from yesterday, but not by much. Highs are staying in the 30s and 40s. Also, a few spotty showers are continuing throughout the area - especially in the higher elevations.
Our weather will start to turn around starting Wednesday. But this is going to be a slow change. As an area of high pressure moves in, temperatures will start to climb, and the skies will give way to more sunshine. Highs Wednesday will be 10-15 degrees warmer than Tuesday, with highs in the 50s and 60s.
Temperatures will continue to climb for Thursday and Friday. Many areas will see partly sunny skies and highs in the 60s. It gets even better for the weekend - but it won't be hot by any means, just mild and nice! Highs will be in the 60s and 70s throughout the weekend and right now, the forecast still looks dry for both Saturday and Sunday.
Hope you're not too sick of the cold... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
