CANON CITY - Deputies with the Fremont County Sheriff's office arrested their "most wanted" fugitive Tuesday. Matthew Lee Boyd, 36, escaped from a community corrections facilty in Pueblo last Thursday.
The sheriff's office say Boyd had a history of assaulting officers and was known to carry several knives with him. He was flushed out of a camping trailer while deputies searched his family's property.
Boyd was arrested in March of 2010 on charges of distributing methamphetamine.
UPDATE: An earlier version of this report stated that Mr. Boyd was housed at Community Corrections Services Inc. which closed last Friday. At this point it is unclear which facility Mr. Boyd escaped from.
