It's a little change of pace for our latest Loaf 'n Jug Aquafina Athlete of the Week. This time, we head out to the bowling lanes, where a 14-year old just had one of the best scores of any high school bowler in the state.
Morgann Vails, a freshman at Falcon High School, finished with a fifth place trophy at the all-class state bowling tournament about a month ago. That's the second highest placing in school history, all while being the youngest competitor there.
Morgann also plays soccer and loves music, but bowling is her true passion.
"Bowling is just so fun," said Morgan. "It involves a lot of things. People think you just roll these balls out there and hit these pins, but there's a lot of physics and a lot of thinking. It's a mental game."
Morgann says she wants to bowl in college and already has interest from several schools. Her average score is a robust 169.
