We're learning more about a teenage girl who died in a crash early this morning following homecoming at Falcon High School. Friends tell us the victim is 17 year old Sirena Gomez of Peyton. Friends and family released balloons in her honor in a short vigil at Falcon High School Sunday night.

State Troopers say the teen died after she lost control of her car and crashed at the intersection of Curtis Road and Garrett Road in eastern El Paso County.

Today we spoke to one of her friends and she had this to say, "She was a lively and beautiful girl. One of the nicest girls in school. Always smiling. I will personally miss her presence. (She was) very dedicated and hard working. She was in the CNA program at our school. She was always willing to help."
