DENVER (AP) - Frontier Airlines has told about 700 employees nationwide it will be outsourcing their jobs to other employers.
The job cuts will affect all of its destinations except Denver International Airport.
About 60 percent of Frontier's airport stations are staffed by employees from other companies. Tuesday's announcement will affect gate, ticket counter and ramp employees at the remaining 28 locations.
According to the Denver Post, the company says the goal is to keep costs down.
Frontier said it plans to work with the other vendors in an effort to help their employees apply for their jobs with a new employer.
